This & That

On Saturday, Adam and I had a rare few hours together between him coming home from and me going to work. We got fish and chips for dinner and went to look round a few shops, and Adam took me to a new fabric shop that had opened locally as a surprise! And oh my gosh, it was the best fabric shop ever! I can't stop thinking about the navy polka dot fabric they had which would be perfect for a t-shirt!

Our favourite thing to do on a Sunday is to grab the dogs and take them out for a walk. This is somewhere we don't go often but this little waterfall was beautiful.

Called into Adam's parents for a couple of hours on the way home. His Dad made me a gorgeous mocha in their new coffee machine, and his mum and I sat and talked about sewing, fabric and the Great British Sewing Bee.

A tired out Boston Terrier after all that walking.

We lit a fire, watched a film and were just generally lazy for the rest of the day. All in all, a lovely weekend.

  1. Thanks for dropping by my blog - I was lured over here by the fact that, when I passed the mouse over your gravatar, a photo of fish and chips came up. Lordy, how I miss them. I am coming over to the U.K. next week for the knitting & stitching show at Olympia but not getting down to Brighton this time which is where I like to eat them. Oh well, I'll just have to look at photos like yours - fish and chip porn?!
What did you think of the GBSB this week? I was really pleased it was dealing with stretch fabrics as that is my 'thing' at the moment plus I have only recently got an overlocker so it was interesting to see what some of the contestants made of using one.

    1. Thanks for your comment! I loved GBSB this week. Stretch fabrics is something I really want to try. I'm 5ft10, and I often find getting tshirts in a nice fabric that are long enough to fit me properly in the body very challenging, or tshirts with long sleeves so I really want to try making my own so I can adjust the lengths, but been a bit nervous about it! So it's given me some confidence to give it a go. Just need to find the perfect pattern now. I don't have an overlocker at the moment though. Have you made anything on yours yet?

  2. Hi, Neat post. There's an issue along with your website in internet explorer, might test this? IE nonetheless is the market leader and a huge element of other people will omit your excellent writing due to this problem. hotmail sign in email
